Naturopathic Physician

My philosophy of practice...

As a natural health detective, I see it as my mission to uncover what has contributed to the disturbance in a patient's health. Decades of clinical experience, education, and research inform the way I work with patients - a typical visit often includes counseling/conversation, education, physical exam, hands on therapies, and customized wellness plans that may include movement, nutrition, supplements, herbs, hands on therapies and homeopathy.

Somethings you should know about working with me -  I value bodily autonomy and sovereignty which means that you alone are the expert on your body. I am a neurodivergent person my brain works a bit differently - sometimes this may be observed as a long pause, directness, being thorough, and taking extra time with patients and tasks.

Having patience with yourself and your body is important - while I focus on simple interventions, the healing process can be hard and takes time. Getting to know patients is one of my favorites parts of practice because I want to be a provider that understands and supports patients. Maybe you or your family member have been shuffled around to different doctors, had symptoms or concerns dismissed by providers or you're just looking for expert guidance on natural health or alternative solutions.

All bodies, All identities, All ages are welcome. I am a trauma informed, weight inclusive/fat friendly/Health At Every Size®/Intuitive Eating®, sex positive, 2SLGBTQIAP* inclusive anti-racism provider.

Don't know what any of these things mean - that's okay - schedule a Welcome to Wellness visit so we can chat more about my practice and your health needs to see if we'd be a good fit.

Not sure what a naturopathic physician is - check this out for more info.

I am currently accepting new patients for naturopathic specialty or primary care.

A bit more about me ...

I have been on all sides of the table, as a patient with chronic health issues myself and as a caregiver for my parents. I was sick a lot as a kid, with things most doctors didn't understand.  I've lived all over the US, with my family now split between the midwest and east coast regions of the country. After a career in health care as a social worker then in clinical research, I moved to WA for the naturopathic medicine program at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. Outside of the clinic you may find me on a trail with my rescue dogs, spending time with loved ones, listening to a true crime podcast, geeking out about a research article or new tarot deck and can't resist catching up on sleep or bingeing a good TV show!
