As a naturopathic doctor I like to get to know my patients and partner with them to help achieve their individual healthcare goals. Using a combination of Eastern and Western medicines, I work with individuals either as their primary health provider or in concert with their primary health provider as a specialist. Some of my areas of focus are: cardiovascular inflammation, diabetes, thyroid and adrenal conditions, detoxification, fasting, pain relief, family practice, allergies, insomnia, fertility, menstrual problems, menopause, anxiety / depression and digestive problems like IBD, IBS, and reflux.

I started my higher education as a National Merit Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying Aerospace Engineering. While I did well in calculus, chemistry and physics, it was during my psychology classes that I was inspired to change majors and pursue the biological sciences. I obtained my undergraduate degree as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology (Molecular Biology / Genetics). I spent the next thirteen years performing research and development in the biotechnology industry, focusing on the purification and analysis of proteins as a Protein Biochemist. I had the good fortune to work with many creative and intelligent researchers on a number of interesting projects. I enjoyed contributing to projects like bringing forth diagnostics for the Hepatitis C virus. However, after seeing many instances of natural therapeutics being ignored by companies due to financial reasons (hard to patent them), I returned to graduate school to study natural medicine and work .
